DS Productions is an Event Production Company specializing in large events for the Kosher Community.

DS Productions is the master project of David Scharf and was founded by him in 2006. Mr. Scharf has over 35 years of experience in the Kosher Catering and Event Planning Industries.

He is the former CEO and founder of Scharf Caterers Inc. which he operated from 1979 - 1996. During that time, Mr. Scharf served the Tri-State Metropolitan Area as an upscale off-premises Kosher Caterer, as well as the in-house Glatt Kosher Caterer for the Sands of Atlantic Beach, New York. Some of his clients during that period included the Munkaczer Hassidic Dynasty- three weddings with a guest list of 15,000 - 25,000 people at the Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center in New York City.

From 1997 - 2006 Mr. Scharf served as the COO and General Manager of RAM Caterers where he ran the in-house catering operations at Congregation Shaare Zion in Brooklyn, New York. His  vast experience and knowledge of the Catering Industry helped him design, build, and mange a large Kosher Commissary for the off-premises division of RAM Caterers. This commissary serves as the hub for RAM Caterer’s Tri-State Metropolitan Area operations

In addition to his events during the year, Mr. Scharf has ran many successful Passover Programs in such exotic locations as Aruba, Bahamas, Cancun, Acapulco, and Miami Bech among others. For the past two years Mr. Scharf has partnered with the Werner Brothers of KMR Tours to produce programs in both Whistler and Banff, Canada. This year DS Productions is proud to return to a KMR Tours Program in a warmer location, taking place at the St. Regis- Monarch Beach in Orange County, California.

Since July 2009, Jason Scharf, a recent graduate of the Sy Syms School of Business has been serving as both Production Coordinator and Ass’t Producer for DS Productions. Jason’s negotiation, communication, and tech skills have helped him become an integral part of the Company.
